Every year on the Sunday closest to Thanksgiving, we host the Mission Waco Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s. This is one of the biggest events we hold all year and one of our primary forms of outreach to the community. We open our doors to all who want to come to enjoy a hot and nutritious Thanksgiving dinner—many of whom would not be able to enjoy a meal otherwise. St. Paul’s routinely feeds over 200 people at this dinner, which is held after our Thanksgiving morning 11:00AM worship service.
This is an important and vital ministry that all members of the parish are welcome to join. We often have children serving hot rolls, youth clearing plates, and men and women—young and old, rich and poor, black and white—cooking food in the kitchen and helping with set up and clean up. It takes all of us working together to make this Thanksgiving dinner happen! Dinner is served until 1:00PM, so you still have time to gather with your own family with truly thankful hearts.
