Healing in Grief (Conference Room) – The Rev.
Brad St.Romain
All humans experience grief. Whether one suffers the grief of losing a loved one, the grief of childlessness, or the grief of being poor, loss is loss. A unique form of Bible Study, this class is designed to help participants to move from “Lord have mercy” to “Thank you, Jesus” by exploring Holy Scripture as the ultimate source of strength as the inspired Word of God.
The Book of Common Prayer in 9 Weeks– The
Rev. Chuck Treadwell (Fellowship Room)
Given
the wonderful response to the Bible in 90 Days class, we decided it would be
fun to offer a similar class on the other core document for the Episcopal
Church, the Book of Common Prayer. Most of us are familiar with the “thin brown
line” of the BCP. That is the line you see when you look at the pages of the
BCP from the side. It includes the Holy Eucharist Rite 1 and 2. It includes
about 40 pages of the whole book. But the BCP is an amazing collection of tools
for prayer and worship for every stage of human life. This class will help
explore the other 960 pages of the BCP. It will expand our understanding of the
BCP and help us integrate it into our personal lives.
