To both parishioners and clergy interested in learning more about St. Paul’s rector search, we welcome you to this page. We encourage parishioners to look over the materials included here and continue your faithful prayers for and service to our parish during this interim period in the life of St. Paul’s. For clergy beginning to discern whether God might be calling you to become a part of the work God is doing at St. Paul’s, please know that our parish is praying for you, and we ask for your prayers in return.
A parish-wide survey was conducted in late spring to obtain input on St. Paul’s mission and assess our core values. An extraordinary number of parishioners participated in that survey as well as additional visioning groups. Results from these efforts led to the creation of St. Paul’s Parish Profile which can be reviewed here.
After months of preliminary work performed by an overwhelming number of St. Paul’s parishioners, our parish is moving toward identifying, interviewing candidates, and calling our next rector. On September 29th, Senior Warden Roland Goertz announced the members of the Rector Search Committee selected by the vestry. Members of the Committee are Suzanne Alexander, Robert Braswell, Heyward Green, Lance Grigsby, Rusty Khoury, Mandy Kuehl, Suzy Nettles, Phillip Reeder, Toni Riley, Lauren Weber, and Mary Wentworth.
All parishioners are encouraged to continue praying for our parish and the work of the Rector Search Committee. From page 818 in the Book of Common Prayer, let us pray:
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
