The Rev. Chuck Treadwell, Rector

The Reverend William Charles Treadwell spent his childhood in South Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky. He attended Georgetown College where he received
his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1982.
Chuck moved to Texas to work at a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed teenagers. He met his wife, Chris, a nursing student at U.T.A., who introduced him to the Episcopal Church. They married in 1985 and he was confirmed that same year. He went to seminary at the University of the South, Sewanee, graduating in 1989. He was ordained a deacon at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Dallas, that same year.
Fr. Chuck served on the staff of St. Michael and All Angels, Dallas, until 1993, at which time he accepted the position of Rector at St. Peter’s in McKinney, Texas. He became the rector of St. Paul’s in Waco in July of 2004. He and his wife, Chris, have three children: Caleb; Colton, and Caroline.
Father Chuck enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, reading and watching his children grow.

Lisa St. Romain, Director of Children’s Ministries

Lisa’s roles as director of children’s ministries includes all Christian
education and formation for St. Paul’s Church as well as St. Paul’s School
for ages infant through fifth grade.
Lisa came to us in June of 2005 from the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin. Her duties as director of children’s ministries include overseeing the nursery/childcare, children’s Christian Formation (recruiting and training adult leaders and planning the curriculum), the Wednesday evening children’s program, communion instruction and the summer disciple camp.
Each Sunday, Lisa shares the Word of God with the participants in Children’s Chapel. She is trained in Godly Play and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and enjoys designing transgenerational activities that bring all ages of St. Paul’s community together.
Erin Busby, Director of Youth and Family Ministries

Erin's role as youth and family minister involves the youth of the church (grades 5 and 6, and 7 through 12) and all types of families. This also includes Christian Formation for the youth and planning family oriented events such as marriage seminars and family outings. She is responsible for the planning and execution of a summer mission trip for youth grades 7 through 12, allowing them a chance to give of themselves to others in need.
Erin joined St. Paul's in January 2008, coming from Christ Church in Covington, LA. She hopes to touch the lives of all that she works with and help them grow closer in their relationship with God.
Erin and her husband, Kyle, have three daughters that fill their lives with love. Their twin girls, Lenora and Taryn, attend St. Paul’s Day School; and the newest addition, Kyleigh, has become a bit of a mascot for the youth group. Erin enjoys being a mother, running, and reading in her spare time.
Angel Jackson, interim College Missioner
Angel Jackson is originally from a dairy farm in Northeastern Ohio. She attended Capital
University, in Columbus, Ohio where she received a BA in Religion and a Bachelors of Social Work. Angel got her Masters of Divinity at The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Chicago. She worked with campus ministry as part of her internship at St. Matthew Lutheran Church here in Waco and just finished serving as their interim during the pastor's sabbatical.
Angel's husband, Nate Jackson is a PhD student in Philosophy at Baylor University. She has a three year old daughter named Sophia and at the end of August, welcomed a son named Asher. The Jacksons also have a beagle named Ivan and a fish named Dory.
Alan Raines, Choral Conductor
Alan Raines,frequent guest conductor and sought after clinician with choruses throughout
the United States, is the newly appointed Associate Professor of Ensembles and Director of Choral Activities at Baylor University and recipient of the Mary Gibbs Jones Endowed Professorship in Music. A recipient of the M.M. and D.M.A. degrees in Choral Conducting at UCLA, Raines served as the Assistant Conductor of the Angeles Chorale while as a student of Donald Neuen. Prior appointments include the University of La Verne, Georgia State University and Stetson University.
Raines’ choirs have performed throughout the United States and Europe and have received invitations to perform for conventions of the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference and the National Collegiate Choral Organization.
Raines’ professional engagements have taken him throughout most of the major cities in the United States, Canada and abroad with guest appearances at Moscow State University, the London Virtuosi in Wells, U.K. and Musica Angelica of Los Angeles. He is the first American invited to guest conduct the Chonan City Choir and Orchestra in Chonan City, South Korea. Raines just returned China where he conducted the first performance of Handel’s Messiah on Easter Sunday in the province of Suzhou.
As Director of Choral Activities, Raines will conduct the 60-voice, select A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers and administrate the large and varied choral program at Baylor. Raines is a member of MENC, GMEA, FVA, FMEA, Pi Kappa Lambda and ACDA. An active arranger, his publications of chansons and lieder are under the auspices of Alliance Music Publications, Inc., Walton Music and Colla Voce.
Jeffrey Arnold, Organist
A native of Gatesville, Texas, Jeffrey Arnold began his piano studies with Orpa Mayo in 1967.
The Morris Federation presented him in his first public recital the same year when, at the age of eight, he replaced another scheduled artist who canceled due to illness. Upon his graduation from Gatesville High School, Mr. Arnold continued his piano studies at the University of North Texas, and later, organ studies at Baylor University. Subsequent concert engagements brought him important appearances as a solo artist and accompanist at Carnegie Hall, in Canada and Europe.
Mr. Arnold continues an active career as a concert artist and teacher. He maintains a private studio at his home in Gatesville, and also in Chicago, Illinois at the historic Chicago Fine Arts Building. His pupils have performed internationally in recitals, orchestra concerts, opera, oratorio, and musical theater.
For the past 39 years, Mr. Arnold has served Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Reformed Jewish congregations as organist, music director, and in combined appointments. Prior to his appointment at St. Paul’s, he served as Parish Musician for St. Francis Episcopal Church in Victoria, Texas. He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, a Colleague of the American Guild of Organists, and an Honorary Fellow of the Guild of Musicians and Singers (London Chapter – UK).
Mr. Arnold is Founder and President of The Jeffrey Arnold Foundation, a non-profit organization providing study grants and scholarships for voice and keyboard studies through the Foundation.

Dorothy Fisher, Parish Administrator

Dorothy manages the day-to-day operations of the office staff, personnel
records, and directs the financial operations of the church. Her responsibilities
demand that she works closely with the rector, the vestry, and members
of the congregation.
Norma Anderson, Program Staff Assistant

Norma coordinates the scheduling and reserving of rooms for Church and
School events which dovetails with her responsibilities as calendar keeper.
The Altar Flower ministry, catering for rector’s meetings, creation of
the Activity Pages for the Church Directory and Newcomer's booklet, are
all handled by Norma in addition to her duties of assisting the Program
Staff.

Jill keeps the records on all members in the church software program. She edits and prints the annual Membership Directory, and processes all paperwork regarding baptisms, weddings, confirmations, and transfers in and out; she also keeps the records of all services at St. Paul's.
Greeting people as they enter the church office is one of her favorite tasks, as well as being the primary person to answer incoming calls. She also enjoys assisting Fr. Brad in Pastoral Care duties, which includes dealing with the poor and needy who request assistance from the church.

Joanna’s primary responsibility is the execution of printed and electronic
communications media. This includes production of the Sunday bulletin,
the Tidings newsletter, various program flyers including the Sunday and
Wednesday Night Christian Education Opportunities as well as maintaining
the church’s website. As the communications coordinator, Joanna is the
point person for photography and technology issues. Joanna provides back
up phone support for the membership secretary and other miscellaneous
secretarial duties for the program staff and clergy.
