The Rev. Chuck Treadwell III, Rector

The Reverend William Charles Treadwell was born and raised in Rock Hill,
South Carolina. He attended Georgetown College in Kentucky where he received
his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1982.
Fr. Chuck moved to Texas to work at a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed teenagers. He met his wife, Chris, a nursing student at U.T.A., who introduced him to the Episcopal Church. They married in 1985 and he was confirmed that same year. He went to seminary at the University of the South, Sewanee, graduating in 1989. He was ordained a deacon at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Dallas, that same year.
Fr. Chuck served on the staff of St. Michael and All Angels, Dallas, until 1993, at which time he accepted the position of Rector at St. Peter’s in McKinney, Texas. He became the rector of St. Paul’s in Waco in July of 2004. He and his wife, Chris, have three children: Caleb; Colton, and Caroline.
Father Chuck enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, reading and watching his children grow.
The Rev. Brad St. Romain, Associate Rector

The Rev. Brad St.Romain was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Jesuit High School there and later graduated from LSU where he met his wife Lisa. Brad and Lisa have three daughters: Caroline, Suzette 17, and Chloe 11. After a career in the Marine Electronics Industry, Brad entered The Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest (ETSS) in 2000 where he received a Masters of Divinity degree in 2003. Since graduating, Brad has been served as chaplain for Hospice Austin. During his time with Hospice Austin, Brad also served as Assisting Clergy at Good Shepherd, Austin, and later, as Priest in Charge at Christ Church, Cedar Park before being called to St.Paul’s in November 2004.
Brad enjoys fishing, reading, and playing guitar.
The Rev. Alex Montes, Curate & College Missioner

The Rev. Alex Montes was born in Huacho, a small town north of Lima, Perú. In 1975, his family moved to Guatemala, where his father attended seminary. When his father graduated from seminary, he was invited to pastor a church in Harlingen, Texas. That’s how Alex’s family ended up in the United States, and Texas. They spent six years in the “Valley” and then moved to Houston.
He married Thi (pronounced “tea”) after his freshman year in college. Thi also left her country in 1975: Vietnam. Alex enlisted in the United States Army (field artillery) a year later and was deployed to the Persian Gulf, during the Desert Shield/Storm. After four years in the Army, Alex returned to school and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
While in college, he worked as a priest’s assistant and worship leader for the Spanish-speaking congregation at Church of the Redeemer, Houston. After graduating, he worked at Iglesia Episcopal, San Mateo, Houston, as the youth pastor and worship leader. Alex graduated from the Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS), Alexandria, Virginia, in May 2005, and was ordained in June of the same year.
Alex and Thi have three beautiful children: Alejandro Thanh; Alissa Mai Thi; and Laura Huyen. They also have a dog (shih-tzu) named Julian.
Alex enjoys bothering his kids (and wife), jogging (when he wakes up early), reading, watching movies, and playing musical instruments.

John L. Blackburn, Director of Music Ministries

Under his direction is The Choir of Saint Paul's, as well as a Youth
music ensemble, and a Children's Music Course. He also plays the organ
for the 9:00 am service. Mr. Blackburn earned both a bachelor's and master's
degree from Baylor University in Church Music, and beginning in the fall
of 2007 will be studying at the University of Texas at Austin to pursue
a doctoral degree in organ performance.
Lisa St. Romain, Director of Children’s Ministries

Lisa’s roles as director of children’s ministries includes all Christian
education and formation for St. Paul’s Church as well as St. Paul’s School
for ages infant through fifth grade.
Lisa came to us in June of 2005 from the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin. Her duties as director of children’s ministries include overseeing the nursery/childcare, children’s Christian Formation (recruiting and training adult leaders and planning the curriculum), the Wednesday evening children’s program, communion instruction and the summer disciple camp.
Each Sunday, Lisa shares the Word of God with the participants in Children’s Chapel. She is trained in Godly Play and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and enjoys designing transgenerational activities that bring all ages of St. Paul’s community together.
Erin Busby, Director of Youth and Family Ministries

Erin's role as youth and family minister involves the youth of the church (grades 6 through 12) and all types of families. This also includes Christian Formation for the youth and advising the Faith and Families Sunday Christian Formation class.
Erin joined St. Paul's in January 2008, coming from Christ Church in Covington, LA. She has worked with youth professionally for over two years and spent many hours working as a volunteer before that time. She hopes to touch the lives of all that she works with and help them grow closer in their relationship with God.
Erin is married and she and her husband, Kyle, have twin daughters that will be a year old in February. She enjoys being a mother, playing with her dog Bocephus and reading in her spare time.
Rich Webb, Head of School
Rich came to St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School from Lubbock, Texas, where he was the Head of School at All Saints Episcopal School. Prior to that he was the Upper School Principal at Holy Innocent’s Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia, Hilton Head Preparatory School, Hilton Head, South Carolina, and St. Andrew’s School, Savannah, Georgia.
Before being called to education, Rich was a corporate general manager and a twenty-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He has lived in Texas, Nevada, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Ohio, Mississippi, Florida, Kansas, Arizona, California, Maryland, Cambodia, The Philippines, Greece, and Italy. He has degrees in Communications Technology, Chemical Engineering, History, and a Masters in Human Relations – Psychology. Rich and his wife Karen have two children and five grandchildren.

Dorothy Fisher, Parish Administrator

Dorothy manages the day-to-day operations of the office staff, personnel
records, and directs the financial operations of the church. Her responsibilities
demand that she works closely with the rector, the vestry, and members
of the congregation.
Norma Anderson, Program Staff Assistant

Norma coordinates the scheduling and reserving of rooms for Church and
School events which dovetails with her responsibilities as calendar keeper.
The Altar Flower ministry, catering for rector’s meetings, creation of
the Activity Pages for the Church Directory and Newcomer's booklet, are
all handled by Norma in addition to her duties of assisting the Program
Staff.
Jill Hively, Membership Secretary

Jill keeps the records on all members in the church software program. She edits and prints the annual Membership Directory, and processes all paperwork regarding baptisms, weddings, confirmations, and transfers in and out; she also keeps the records of all services at St. Paul's.
Greeting people as they enter the church office is one of her favorite tasks, as well as being the primary person to answer incoming calls. She also enjoys assisting Fr. Brad in Pastoral Care duties, which includes dealing with the poor and needy who request assistance from the church.
Joanna Strom, Parish Secretary

Joanna’s primary responsibility is the execution of printed and electronic
communications media. This includes production of the Sunday bulletin,
the Tidings newsletter, various program flyers including the Sunday and
Wednesday Night Christian Education Opportunities as well as maintaining
the church’s website. As the communications coordinator, Joanna is the
point person for photography and technology issues. Joanna provides back
up phone support for the membership secretary and other miscellaneous
secretarial duties for the program staff and clergy.
