The Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) thrives at St. Paul’s, providing church youth a “home away from home” within the church. We seek many different ways for the youth to be involved, with three primary focus areas: fellowship, formation and outreach. We bring the youth together, create a family atmosphere, and help our young people forge lasting relationships.
Regular EYC is most Sundays during the school year. You can check the schedule to see what is going on the next few Sundays.
Junior EYC (7th and 8th grades) 5:00-6:30PM
Senior EYC (9th – 12th grades) 6:00-7:30PM
Dinner is served to all at 6:00PM.
This is where the youth can join others their age for games, discussions, and more. It’s a great break from last minute homework!
Jr. High (7th and 8th Grade)
Once again, our 7th and 8th graders will explore the Sacramental Rite of Confirmation, which is the act of affirming the promises that their parents and godparents made at their Baptism. This two-year curriculum is designed to help teens discover Scripture, church history, sacraments, the meaning and practice of prayer, and what ministry means in the lives of real young people today. Ultimately, these classes are designed to empower the youth with the knowledge they need to make their own decision about Confirmation, which is offered to all 8th graders who have successfully attended the classes.
Sr. High (9th through 12th Grade)
Our Sr. High youth are vital members of this congregation, and their ability to read, digest, and talk about scripture in a critical way is essential to their formation in Christ. With the Adult Formation Forum focusing on scripture, our Sr. High members join the adult members of the parish and explore the various ways they can ground their lives in Scripture. To help foster lively discussion, the Sr. High will have their own small group table in which to reflect on the materials and offer their insight following the weekly presentations. Adults will be invited to be a part of their discussion on a rotating basis.
